There are great exhibits side by side by Derry McMahon and Bear Silvershade at Raglan Tree Gallery, until end of March, 2017.

They of course exhibit side by side at Galleria Kakku, too, having secured permanent booths right from the start of the gallery. Both have very recognizable styles. And it is no surprise that they are storytellers as well as artists.

 Bear is a photojournalist in real life and has been known to read stories at the  Seanchai Library.

Derry founded the library in 2008, when it was known as the WOI Library. Now retired from her work there as a librarian and a storyteller, she has become known as a very talented SL photographer.

I also found their shops at Heron Shire Warf. Getting lost in their images is a journey worth taking.

Galleria Kakku artists at home and featured elsewhere

I recently blogged The MadPea International Food Fair for Feed a Smile, which is open from February 18th to 4th of March, and mentioned there were a few familiar names from Galleria Kakku among those featured at the Art Exhibit curated by Kultivate Magazine.

There are some new pieces in their booths at Galleria Kakku, so I thought I would show you.

Isis Boa said her new works were inspired by a dream. I absolutely love the intensity of her works in her booth.

Kayly Iali is showcasing her drawings, which are amazing. She says in her description, that the technique was inspired by the Drawing Demonstration of Costa Vavagiakis on Youtube. She also appears in this book about 5-Minute Sketches. And for good reason.

Suzume Zuki makes colorful and beautiful art which seems to come from it's own fantastic world.

Jolie has her own Art Dream gallery and is quickly becoming a name in the SL art world. I can see why.

You know when you find a friend you can talk to that does not judge? You can be yourself in a way that is really special. Sometimes you go shopping or to a party, or you might do some sim snooping together. But a lot of the times you both just work on your own stuff, and let the other work on theirs, and you share that time. Well this lady is like that to me. My Best Puss, Miss Matilda. We wanted to do a twin post. As you can see we do not need to look like clones to feel connected. I can not think of a better way to explain it. I just love her. This is her post: Girls Around Town.

25th of February, 2017: Mardi Gras at New Toulouse

25th of February, 2017: Mardi Gras at New Toulouse. I took pictures before we were moving, as graphics went boom several times. But we all had a lot of fun! I was in Krewe des Flambeaux , lead by our Francesca Alva. Music was taken care of nicely by DJ Outlaw.
